As one of the
oldest Jewish children's charities in this
country, we are truly dedicated to providing the
opportunity for all Jewish children to have the
chance of a summer break, whatever their
personal or family circumstances.
It is our mission to help needy and
underprivileged Jewish children have a holiday
each summer. It is often the case that those
children who would most benefit from having a
holiday or respite break are those whose family
circumstances mean that they cannot afford one.
With your help, we have once again helped many
organisations across the entire Jewish spectrum
provide summer holidays to children who would
otherwise not be able to attend for financial
reasons.
The credit crunch and the increasing financial
pressure being suffered by many families has
meant that we are facing a heavy burden in
trying to provide the additional funds needed to
provide holidays.
Experience has shown that a holiday can benefit
the family just as much as it benefits the
child, giving both a respite from the long
school holidays at home. This year, we were
pleased to be able to provide even more funding
for children with disabilities, to give them a
holiday and their family a break. However, we
need your continued support to be able to expand
our donations in this area.
